Ahhh...January and February. Winter. The frosty bite of cold nights. The promise of a snow day for my teacher husband. No work for me! :- / January tends to be the season of housewivery and auditions for me (and numerous actors across the country, I'm sure). I've attended two season auditions so far (Barter Theatre in Abingdon, VA and Flat Rock Playhouse in Flat Rock, NC), and have quite a few to come. As always, I love to stay close to home for work if possible, but it definitely isn't always possible, so I try to go where the work might be! It's harder being based in a smaller area, as opposed to NYC where I could easily hit an audition a day, but with a little travel I'm making it work so far! This is the time of year when I remind myself constantly that I love what I do, that it's not easy, but that work always comes. *sigh* Meanwhile, I'm playing IT services for my father's business's Facebook page. He's a chairmaker (yep!) and isn't too into technology, but he needs to be up and up on the social networking front and he needs help doing it! So here I am. Actor/Singer/Dancer/Housewife/Facebook guru/OddJobGirl/etc. In the meantime, if you're in need of a little brunette soprano, I'm your girl! (And keep your fingers crossed!)

This page is all about what's happening right now! Shows, auditions, backstage, and anything else that's on my mind...if I remember to write. :-) |
